Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill

Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill Review

Horizon fitness machines are made by the Johnson Health Tech family of companies and the Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill is an excellent choice if you enjoy running to stay fit.

You can achieve speeds of up to 10 miles an hour on the Horizon T101 and it’s great as part of a regular and rigorous training routine. It has a 2 ¼ hp incline motor which goes from 0 to a 10% grade with speed increments of half a mile an hour.

If you have limited space the T101 features Horizon’s patented FeatherLight lift which means you can raise the deck for storage. The PerfectFlex deck cushioning relieves impact on the ankles and knees and is extremely comfortable if you want to run for long periods of time. It also incorporates sonic surround speakers so you can use your MP3 player while you’re working out. The comfortably cushioned grips incorporate a heart rate monitor and there’s even a fan to keep you cool.

Treadmills are a great part of a daily workout routine and offer some of the best cardiovascular workouts. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an experienced runner or if you’re young or old the Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill will work for anyone who weighs less than 300 pounds.

Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill User Review

With over 100 positive reviews I decided I would give the Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill a try, it was certainly affordable. I also had the advantage of being able to try it out at a local sports equipment store (where they sell it for more than twice what I paid!) I don’t have a couple of thousand dollars to spend on a treadmill and I wanted to make sure I was going to buy one that would work for me, and not waste my money.

I really like being able to plug in my MP3 player while I run. I’ve now made an hour-long playlist that includes music that goes faster and faster so I can get up to 10 miles an hour and as the music slows down I can decrease the intensity. It’s a lot of fun which is more than can be said for a lot of exercise machines.

I’ve had no trouble at all with the machine and the comfortable deck means I’ve not suffered any problems with my ankles and knee joints. The only problem I’ve had was not with the machine, it was with Horizon’s customer service department. They don’t seem to have one! All you can do is leave a message and it takes days for anyone to get back to you. Luckily I found the answer to the question I had online. I’m glad I don’t have an actual mechanical problem!

Bottom Line

If you can try this machine at a local sports store first you’ll be impressed. If you can’t the Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill is still a very good choice if you don’t want to shell out thousands of dollars for a treadmill.
