LifeGear Inversion Table Review

If you’re looking for an effective way of relieving back pain then the LifeGear Inversion Table may be exactly what you need. The LifeGear Inversion Table is very basic which is why it costs a lot less than other inversion tables. Nevertheless it is extremely well-built and features a tough tubular steel frame and is constructed to ensure maximum stability and durability.

Although it doesn’t have many of the features that more expensive inversion tables offer, safety has not been overlooked. The angle-adjusting tether and highly maneuverable handles are designed and constructed to give years of continued use. The unique non-skid floor stabilizers provide added stability and safety while using the table.

Inversion therapy relieves back pain by reducing pressure on nerves and discs in the back. It also stimulates circulation and can relieve muscle stiffness. The LifeGear Inversion Table also increases the body’s flexibility. Once you are upside down comfortably strapped into this machine you’ll find you can relax and enjoy the relief it offers.

Many athletes use inversion therapy tables to limber up before activities and often use them afterwards for reducing aches, pains, strains and back pain. Many people also report that the increased blood flow to the brain gives them greater mental clarity.

The LifeGear Inversion Table is designed for users who weigh up to 300 pounds and are under 6’6”.

The curved safety handles allow you to easily return to the upright position and the tough vinyl covering prevents damage to fingers.  The LifeGear’s adjustable safety straps control the maximum angle of inversion and the padded ankle cushions grip securely and comfortably.

Also included with the LifeGear Inversion Table is an instructional DVD that tells you precisely how to build and use the table. It also folds up and can be stored away after use.

LifeGear Inversion Table User Review

I’ve been using the LifeGear Inversion table for over three years on a regular basis and it’s my refuge whenever I’ve worked too hard and strained my back. I first purchased it after being told I had degenerative disc disease, the doctor said that it was only going to get worse and he never recommends continued use of pain relievers.

He suggested I take a look at inversion therapy, which is a way of relieving stress and pressure on the discs and is a method that people have been using for hundreds of years.

I can safely say that although I was expecting the worst, by using my LifeGear Inversion table regularly I have been able to alleviate the pain and also strengthen my back.

A friend of mine helped me put it together because assembly is quite tricky – the table weighs about 50 pounds and there are a lot of parts! I remember we took about an hour to do it but it was well worth the effort. Obviously you need something heavy and stable especially if you’re like me, six-foot tall and weighing around 240 pounds.

One of the ankle straps was getting very worn and I tried to contact the company to get a replacement. Unfortunately LifeGear appears to have gone out of business, which is a shame. I was able to make another strap myself in the end.

Bottom Line

If you suffer from back pain I highly recommend the LifeGear Inversion table and even though they’ve gone out of business you should try to get one because they do last for years – mine is still going strong (as is my back!)

Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table Review

Inversion therapy has been practiced since ancient times but today you can do it much more comfortably by using an Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table.

Whether you have poor circulation or problems with damaged discs or trapped nerves you’ll find that inversion therapy can work miracles. To get the full effect you need a table that will lock into a choice of different angles. The ATIS 4000 offers a ten.

Don’t just think that’s all you’ll be able to do while hanging upside down – that’s where the Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table differs from other inversion tables. You can use its ab and core training system to isolate your abdominals so you can build strength every time you use it, even for just a few minutes every day.

What a bonus! No back pain and six-pack abs at the same time!

The Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table is ergonomically designed to fit users who are up to 6’6” tall and 320 pounds. It’s easy to use because you work with your own weight and gravity itself. Put your back against the backrest then slip your feet into the molded ankle straps and just slowly raise your hands above your head. The machine does everything else for you and will slowly invert to the angle you have selected.

It has very comfortable hand grips and a large foot platform so you can get on and off easily. The frame is made from extra wide oval steel tubing and the bench is covered in a 1” thick layer of memory foam for even more comfort. There’s even a holder where you can put your cell phone and all those other things that you keep in your pockets instead of dumping them on the floor when you’re upside down!

Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table Review

Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table User Review

I often wondered if inversion therapy was all it was cracked up to be. It was my last resort as nothing else was working for my nagging back pain. My husband bought me the Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table for Christmas. I’m glad I was out while he built it with the help of our teenage son who told me later that dad had been cursing the entire time (he’s not a handyman and it’s a good job the tools were included!)

Nonetheless this machine has changed my life. I found it somewhat disturbing when I heard my back making some very strange noises the first time I tried the ATIS 4000 out.

I guess I was tense but as soon as I made myself relax I realized that all those strange noises were coming from my spine which was decompressing. A few minutes later I was up on my feet waiting for the first (normal) stabbing pains to return. There weren’t any. Although I felt some discomfort all I could describe was it felt like minor bruising.

A month later and I feel like a different person. I’m back to using my treadmill and I can do gardening and housework without any pain.

Bottom Line

If you have back pain then try inversion therapy – you won’t regret it. My Ironman ATIS 4000 Inversion Table has allowed me in just a few short weeks to return to my previous very active life.
