The Velocity Fitness Magnetic Recumbent Bike gets top marks from many of its users. This sturdy machine offers a challenging and smooth workout and lets you know how you’re doing via a large LCD display that tracks time, distance, pulse rate, the speed you’re doing and the amount of calories you’ve burned.

The Velocity Recumbent Bike is extremely well made. It features a three piece axle/crank and industrial quality double sealed steel bearings that perform without a hitch at every level of resistance. It’s also easy to move around when you’re done because a front transport wheel is included.

The Velocity Recumbent bike has an extruded aluminum sliding beam and stationary handlebars. The weighted pedals also feature comfortable foot straps. It measures 59” x 36.2” x 25.2” so it doesn’t take up a great deal of space and can be easily stored away after use.

You can give your body a challenging cardiovascular workout every day with this machine. It has a drum magnetic control system and is built to challenge the body in many different ways. The Velocity Fitness CHB-R2003 also has a well cushioned and adjustable seat and comfortable handle grips.

Recumbent exercise bikes help to work all major muscle groups in the hips, thighs and buttocks while giving a good cardio and strength building workout. They also help to increase metabolism so that fat and calories can be burned quickly. The monitor will always let you know how you’re doing in that concern, so every day you’ll strive to do better.

Velocity Fitness Magnetic Recumbent Bike User Review

This is truly an outstanding bike for people looking for a good quality recumbent bike if you don’t need a lot of the bells and whistles that similar bikes have. This one costs a third of what some of those do, and the workout is just as good.

I managed to assemble the Velocity Fitness Bike in under an hour and I’m no engineer. The instructions are not too clear but if you take your time and lay everything out logically it’s pretty easy.

You get a heart and pulse monitor and you can see the speed you’re going , the time you’ve taken and the distance you’ve traveled. It has a screw type resistance system instead of the electronic systems you’ll find on far more expensive bikes. As far as I’m concerned it’s something less to go wrong. All you have to do is just reach down and turn the knob, no big deal.

What I really like about the Velocity is the incredibly smooth pedaling action. With other machines I’ve used I’ve come away with aching knees because the action has been iffy. Weighing in at about 90 pounds and having a front wheel means even my wife can maneuver it into a corner after using it.

We both find it very comfortable and it stays put even when you’re at full throttle

Bottom Line

The Velocity Fitness Magnetic Recumbent Bike is an excellent deal and offers a great cardio workout on a well-built machine.

Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike Review

October 17th, 2012 No comments

What advantages would I have by purchasing a Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike over one of their upright exercise bikes?  This is a question that many folks ask. They want to exercise, but many worry about the strain placed on their back and/or neck.

Of course upright cycling has many great healthful advantages, so why are recumbent bikes becoming so much more popular with health clubs and home users? The answer is they are easier on the back and neck. They may look uncomfortable but they’re not.

Take the Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike. It has excellent lumbar and neck support, which in short means you can exercise longer and come away without a nagging backache.  The only pain you might feel is some tightness and burn to all the muscle groups you’ve been using.

With the Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike you won’t be hunched over the handlebars, instead you’ll be firmly supported by the padded bucket seat and you’re usually a lot lower to the ground which can add stability. With your legs and ankles being raised higher there is less pressure or impact on them as well. You’re not tempted to stand on the pedals either, which can be pretty bad for those lower joints.

Exercise no longer needs to be a painful chore. The Schwinn 250 has been ergonomically designed and is adjustable to fit most people’s needs.

The Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike is also suited to all fitness levels. You can start out by following one of the Schwinn’s 17 preset programs and adjust your levels of resistance up as you progress.

You’ll be able to watch your heart, and your progress through the large black backlit LCD window. Check how many miles you’ve ridden, how long you’ve been riding and even the amount of calories you’ve burned.

The affordable Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike has dozens of other features you’ll love including Schwinn Advantage™ workout tracking

All backed by a great warranty and a name we all know and trust.

Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike User Review

I was very excited to receive my Schwinn Recumbent Exercise bike. I just wish it had arrived fully-assembled Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike reviewbecause I had to wait a few days to get help building it.  I wasn’t going to risk putting it together wrong and it not working afterwards. Besides the only tool we own is a hammer!

The whole family loves it and I can hardly get the kids away from it especially since they can plug their MP3s into it.

I’ve never owned a recumbent before and I’m really glad I got one. I was in a car accident and still get back pain but this doesn’t aggravate it at all.

Bottom Line

The Schwinn 250 Recumbent Exercise Bike is a well made, comfortable machine with all the bells and whistles you’ll need to get into – and stay – in shape.
